Bakericious is a hidden gem if I have ever seen one. Located in the Autumn 2 Seasons Community of Jumeirah Village Circle its interior will simply take your breath away…it’s such a contrast with its exterior. Wall to wall is covered in dark wood, red brick and little chalk on blackboard signs giving the place an almost Parisian Hansel and Gretel look and feel. If nothing, it’s rustic.
As its name suggests Bakericious is a bakery and also a café and restaurant. So, by default, I suggest ordering something which has come out of one of their ovens. I tried a (recommended by the staff) pepperoni pizza and thought it was very good. I was brought a couple of hot-straight-out-of-the-oven croissants while I waited, also very good; I can imagine dunking them into some coffee early in the morning – yum.
Service is genuinely friendly and accommodating. I have visited a lot of restaurants in the Jumeirah Circle area, Bakericious is, without doubt, the most unique. Is it also the best? Probably. In fact, I think it’s actually well worth a detour.
