Spill the Bean (shouldn’t it be “Beans”?) is a cosy little, hipster café in The Sustainable City, Arabian Ranches. Its interior follows on a tried and tested trend started by the likes of the Lime Tree Café and Tom&Serg, where grey epoxy flooring and exposed blackened ceilings are wrapped around with walls lined with nostalgia. It works particularly well here.
Spill the Bean is one of a growing number of cafés using RAW coffee: https://rawcoffeecompany.com/. They also serve a selection of loose leaf teas, which I always find better than teabags. A glance at their well-stocked counter display tells you that this is a café focused on healthy food. Whilst their salads and jars may not be to my liking, I do look forward to trying their promising breakfast.

Service was excellent, super-friendly and accommodating. Not nearly the coffee connoisseur my wife and kids are, I was introduced to a Flat White at Spill the Bean (yeah, I basically know three types of coffee, now four), and I really enjoyed it. Anyway, Spill the Bean is certainly one of the better cafés in the Arabian Ranches area, and well worth a visit. Too bad it’s in the middle of dullsville, Sustainable City.
Waste NOT. Want NOT.
