LakeView is a waterfront restaurant with a view to die for. Located on the bank of the Creek on the other side of Dubai, some would argue that it is the F&B life and soul of the venerable Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club in Garhoud. Once upon a time it was THE place to go to and to be seen at. Hats off to the management team, it still looks fantastic but, for people like me who live on the wrong side of town (Arabian Ranches), it is quite a stretch getting to and back. And if you’re going to have a little drinkie-poo while there, taking a taxi or an Uber/Careem can add considerably to your evening spend.

Sadly, the buffet which LakeView was so famous for has now been discontinued in favour for a la carte only (except on Friday for brunch). The good news is that the menu is packed with favourites from around the world. Pork and alcohol are both served. Service is old school, five-star, making this one of the city’s best venues for that special night under the stars. Get out there while the weather is as good as it is.
