Famous Dave’s Barbeque in Dubai doesn’t serve what it’s most famous for – pork ribs. Located besides Peppermill on Level 1 of the Waterfront, Festival City, Famous Dave’s does however serve some of the best beef brisket in town. How do I know? Well, I’ve been to the Dubai original in Parkland. This branch is big, well appointed and looks every bit the American franchise it is.

The last time I visited Famous Dave’s I was impressed with their brisket but wanted to try their burgers. So, that’s where I started this time – the ultimate brisket burger and a double cheeseburger (yes, of course there were two of us). Both these burgers are humongous, and they’re served with fries and a side which, at Dhs 69 a pop, makes them pretty good value (especially if you have an Entertainer voucher). The brisket burger is the one to choose – it’s amazing and much, much better than the cheeseburger. The fries are very good too. Their sauces are out of this world.

Service is friendly, accommodating and typically American smiley making this one of the better places in Dubai to enjoy American barbecue. Worth a visit.
