G’s is a café, bakery and restaurant on the mezzanine floor of the DAFZA food court. Its interior reminded me a little of the More Café franchise. I must confess, we only went to G’s because there was a line at Asian 5 next door.

Very much still in the mood for something Asian, I ordered stir-fried noodles with chicken while my companion ordered fish tacos. To order noodles in a café like this, which obviously specialises in sandwiches, salads and well, café food, is just plain stupid. My noodles confirmed this. My friend’s tacos, however, were really good. He made sure I had a bite to reaffirm the mistake I had made.

Service, though, was friendly and prompt. G’s is a decent alternative to the sometimes plasticky food one gets in food courts. Stick to the café food and you’ll be fine.
