As You Fish is a quaint little seafood restaurant on Beach Road in Umm Suqeim. Located in a whitewashed standalone villa with colourful graphics on the front façade as well as on the walls of its handsome interior. There’s a lovely outdoor seating area which overlooks Jumeirah Beach Hotel.

As You Fish offers you a menu full of seafood favourites but also the freedom to have your seafood cooked however you want it, fried, grilled, sautéed, etc. They have a number of delicious sauces you can then complete your creation with. Personally, I leave my culinary creativity for my kitchen; when I’m out I want someone else to do everything. So, from the menu, we ordered Fritto Misto, basically a battered and deep-fried hodgepodge of seafood morsels; fish, shrimp, calamari, etc. My son and his partner ordered Tacos de Pescado (fish tacos), Saffron Seafood Risotto and the Lobster Mac N Cheese to share between themselves. And I went to town with the amazing Fisherman’s Combo.

We loved the food. I will go back for the Fisherman’s Combo, which is a whole fried fish, curry and a paratha – simplicity at its level best. And judging from the speed and intensity at which my twenty-year olds wolfed down their meal, I think they will too.
Service is friendly, professional and infinitely accommodating. This and the ambience edges All You Fish ahead of competitors such as the(almost) equally amazing Fish Hut in Barsha. So, if it’s a spot of fresh seafood you fancy for lunch or dinner, you’ll be pressed to find somewhere better than All You Fish in the Jumeirah Beach area. Pity it’s not licensed.
