Toro+Ko is a Barcelona-inspired tapas restaurant and bar from Boston. Located in The Square, City Walk the two-story restaurant has a very funky, modern, fun interior with music to match. The main dining area is downstairs with the bars and terrace upstairs.
Chef Oscar Poquet Bigorda and his team have created a collection of no less than 50 tapas for their ‘food menu’. There’s an equally impressive ‘drinks menu’.
We ordered from both. Standouts for me, from the cold tapas section, was the simple yet authentic Catalan Bread with Tomato, Garlic and the smoothest Arbequina olive oil I have had in a while.

From the hot tapas section, it has to be the Garlic Prawns in Extra Virgin Olive Oil which we loved so much we ended up ordering it three more times.

From their Signature section, my favourite dish of the meal, Roasted Bone Marrow, Braisted Oxtail garnished with Radish Citrus Salad – it’s nothing less than orgasmic!

From their Seafood section, I loved the Galician Octopus which was cooked perfectly. The Seabass Escabeche wasn’t too bad either.
From the grill, it has to be the super succulent Lamb Cutlets. And finally, we ended our three-hour afternoon extravaganza with their amazing chicken and rabbit paella – Valenciana. We simply couldn’t manage dessert.
I cannot think of a single dish I would send back to the kitchen – all were good, many were great. These are some of the other dishes we ordered…
Service was excellent too; friendly and at all times attentive. Toro+Ko is definitely worth a detour.
