This is Raju Omlet’s third branch in Dubai. And it’s brilliant. Carrying over the same non-pretentious, not-overburdeningly-retro style they developed with the Al Quoz branch, their designers have created another peach of an interior.
In addition to the clever signage, I thought their over-sized windows, which open onto the lakeview walkway, were beautiful, and (still a young boy at heart) I instantly fell in love with the train set which runs the length of the restaurant’s tiny interior.
As expected the menu is pure Raju, with eggs dominating everything from (of course) the omelettes to the wraps, and the gravy, and the rice…yeah, these guys have a thing for eggs. My friends (both new to Raju) and I tried a cross-section of suggestions by our super friendly waiter. We loved the Masala Cheese Omelette…more than the Power Omelette. The Egg Lazeez was really good too. So was the Rice Bhurji. In fact, everything was good. Try everything.
Service has always been a Raju strongpoint, and it did not disappoint on this occasion either. Pay no attention to the rating (unless it’s a 4+). Raju Omlet in JLT, well worth a visit.
