Dar Al Muwaihat Bakery & Restaurant is a South Iranian Khodemooni eatery in Al Muwaihat, Ajman. It’s located right opposite Burger Zoghali where we ordered our food to be delivered. The restaurant boasts an impressive list of authentic South Iranian dishes, the most unique of which is Gouboli (Goboli or Gabooli), a spicy mandi like rice dish which everyone from the Omanis to the Kuwaitis, and of course the South Iranians claim as their own. It was not available on the night we were there, so we settled for a mixed grill of their Khodemooni kababs which turned out to be OMG good. Our mixed grill comprised of two skewers each Masti Chicken, Masti Lamb and Limooi Lamb. All the kababs were excellent particularly the limooi or lime kabab which is marinated in a concoction predominantly flavoured with dried lime or limoo amani. The restaurant also offers the same in the form of a wrap which Sheikh @mansoormadani says is fantastic. So, if you’re out and about in Ajman and fancy some really good South Iranian Khodemooni food, this is the place to come. Be sure to ask for the Gouboli, meat or chicken – whichever is available.
