A little too salty on occasion it may be but the double ShackBurger® remains one of my favourite cheeseburgers of all time. I say this having recently tried High Joint’s High Jamz for the first time; itself without doubt one of the best burgers in Dubai. My sentiments towards Shake Shack are reflected throughout my family. So, I cannot begin to tell you how happy we all are that Alshaya has finally opened a branch near us – First Avenue Mall, Motor City (on the same side as the Autodrome) less than a minute’s walk from Le Petit Belge. I think happiest of us all was my wife, forever on one diet or another, when she discovered that Shake Shack will serve their beautifully seared smashed patties with lettuce instead of the standard potato buns…if you ask real nice. Suddenly I’m not so sad that Burger Fuel and Johnny Rockets are gone from Motor City. We’ve got Shake Shack AND High Joint instead.
