CuiScene is the all-day dining restaurant at the waterfront Fairmont Bab Al Bahr resort in Abu Dhabi. It’s where we had breakfast over our weekend staycation a fortnight ago. Service throughout the Fairmont is exemplary but nowhere more so than at this venue. The restaurant is fashioned much like all other five star all day diners, with food groups broken into islands and live cooking stations. The buffet is gone due to the C-19 restrictions, but the island-hopping alternative works just as well.

My (much, much) better half and I ordered omelettes on both mornings, mine masala and hers cheese. Both were excellent. The sausages, grilled tomatoes, etc. which came with the eggs were very good too, but it was the falafels which we kept asking more of for – they were amazing. The weather has cooled allowing us to enjoy breakfast on their expansive waterfront terrace. Good food, great service, beautiful surroundings – that’s breakfast at the Fairmont Bab Al Bahr.
