Dasprakash is one of a handful of restaurants in Karama specialising in (mainly) Mangalorean, but also North Indian and Seafood dishes and delicacies. And yes, they also do their version of Chinese food. Located on 20A Street, dead opposite the Cosmos Warehouse, its interior is modest and humble, clean and cool. It’s more of a roll-up-the-sleeves and binge-with-the-boys kind of place rather than somewhere to go on date night.
Interior A view from 20A Street Interior Stupendously delicious Masala Chaas (buttermilk) Neer Dosa Fish Curry Bhindi Masala Chicken Thali
The non-veg thalis here are famous so that’s what we ordered. Although, rather than order their fish thali, we ordered a chicken thali with a fish curry and bhindi masala with neer dosa (rather than roti) on the side. The food is rich, spicy and not for the light-hearted. Yet good as our food was, I can’t wait to get back to have a seafood only meal – that’s what these boys are best at. Service is friendly and accommodating. Well worth a try.
