Little Bangkok is a Thai restaurant franchise with a whopping seven branches in Dubai, including this one on the ground floor of Business Central Towers in Dubai Media City. As expected, the interior of this branch carries over the franchise’s modern yet cosy corporate uniform – tables and benches on one side and a loungy dining area on the other, where we sat.

I’ve warmed to the food at Little Bangkok. Although the owner of the franchise is Thai, the food isn’t authentic but that isn’t a bad thing. It’s tailored to popular demand and I can respect that. What’s improved most is consistency. Anyway, we ordered a light lunch of Tom Yum soup, spring rolls, dynamite shrimp (why does every Asian restaurant have to put this on their menu?) and a grilled beef salad. Although the restaurant was quite full, our meal was served within 20 minutes and was thoroughly enjoyable.

Service has always been a Little Bangkok strong point and the staff here didn’t disappoint. There are several Asian options in Media City. I certainly think Little Bangkok should be considered when choosing – that’s dine in or delivery.
