Fusion Amaravathi is a small do-it-all Indian restaurant in Discovery Gardens. The Fusion part of its name implied ‘upmarket’ to me, something I was surprised to find it definitely was NOT. In fact, throughout the short time I was there, although I was in severe discomfort, sweating profusely from the heat inside the restaurant, I was actually thanking God…that I had not brought my family. Because, in addition to the 90% delivery biker clientele, Fusion Amaravathi obviously has a major a/c problem. The food, though, was my other surprise – it was really good, particularly the vada-sambar and masala chaas I wolfed down while waiting for my food buddy, Soheil. Fusion Amaravathi is one of the few restaurants which serves veg and non-veg South Indian food, something I would definitely like to try…but from the confines of my home.
