Black Tap is one of the best places to get a burger in Dubai. If I’m not mistaken, this branch at the super-swanky Jumeirah Al Naseem Hotel in Madinat Jumeirah was the first to open. Today there are two more, one at the Rixos Premium in JBR and the newest other at the InterContinental Dubai Festival City. All three have the same funky look-feel and are licensed. There are few things in life better than a burger and beer – yeah!
Until you take it up a notch with the likes of The Texas, the burgers at Black Tap are quite manageable. Take the entry level and aptly named The All-American Burger for example, it’s simple and easy to eat. It’s also my favourite of the lot; you taste real chargrilled meat and proper cheese. I feel there’s too much going on in the other burgers. My adventure-seeking son tried the humongous Texan. You need reinforced hinges on your jaw to bite into that thing – it’s huge, and too much for me. My pescatarian wife ordered their excellent Fish Tacos, one of many non-meat options on their menu.

No review of Black Tap would be complete without a mention of their orgasmic, zillion calorie milkshakes. Having done that, allow me to also mention that there are a multitude of canned and bottled beers available. Two which are on tap stand out, Estrella Damm and one of my all-time favourites, Asahi. That’s on top of the full bar.
