The Todd English Food Hall is a collection of unique, live cooking stations offering Arabian, Asian, Italian, American and Afghan cuisine. Located on the ground floor of Dubai Mall, in addition to being very well designed, it also boasts an impressive view of the Dubai Fountains. This is the perfect place to come to when you have a group of people who all want something different – each can order from a different station.
We tried to be diverse and ordered Kabuli Palou and Cucumber Yogurt from Kishmish, Edamame and Chicken Ramen from Noodle, and a salad from…um, who cares where. I like Kishmish’s Kabuli Palou because it isn’t too sweet. That said, a sweet and savoury rice dish isn’t to everyone’s taste. Their Mast-O Khiyar though was too thick and too sour. The Chicken Ramen was far better than I expected.

But what really blew us all away was our dessert – Chocolate Smash! Order this even if you’re on a diet – it’s excellent.
The staff at Todd English are a friendly, social bunch. It’s obvious much work has gone into putting this team together, training them, etc. Our table was waited on by three different people and all three were amazing, none more so than the pretty girl in the chocolate smash video (above). Pretty staff members are usually either uptight or flirty – she was neither – instead she was fun yet professional. The others were the same. Bravo Todd English, you’ve done a great job there.
This is an outlet well worth a visit.
