L’Artisan du Burger brings a flash of French flair and a touch of culinary oh là là to a segment overcrowded with franchises, concepts and pop-ups revolving around the humble hamburger. Based on level 1, overlooking the ice rink, L’Artisan’s main seating area in right in the middle of the walkway so, no matter at what awkward angle you position yourself, passers-by will see you chomping and slurping. That’s the only thing I don’t like about this place. The rest, I absolutely love.
After much debate (and soul-searching) I decided to try their Montmartre Prime Beef Burger, which comes topped with caramelized onions, arugula leaves, and Reblochon, a semi-soft mountain cheese which looks a little like brie. OMG! This burger is so orgasmically good that, stuffed as I was after wolfing down my single patty black bun, that I nearly ordered another. I actually dreamt about it that night. So, I went back the next day and had another, white bun this time. And that’s all I have to say about that…
Service at L’Artisan is friendly and attentive. I appreciated the manager coming to our table to see how we were doing. Prices are very reasonable (for what you are getting) In a market over-congested with burger joints it takes something really special to make an impact and this Parisian franchise has managed just that. No wonder L’Artisan du Burger is mentioned in the Michelin guide. So, using words Michelin reserves for only the best, this amazing burger restaurant is well worth a detour.
