Golden Plates Restaurant is a small, anything goes Indian restaurant in Autumn Cluster 2 of Jumeirah Village Circle, in-between the Food Chalet and Bakericious. Its interior is clean and respectably designed, and although the restaurant has a very obvious South Indian bias, their kitchen will happily make you anything within reason. They’ve also started serving breakfast, for which I originally went there a couple of Fridays ago. They were closed ☹. Zomato has their opening time listed as 08:00 while it has changed to 09:00. I played safe this time and went there for lunch. I tried their Goan fish curry with a couple of chapattis and, apart for struggling with the bones in the whole fish chunks the curry came with (I should have asked for filleted fish), I otherwise enjoyed my meal tremendously. Service too was friendly and accommodating. Golden Plates is a decent option for a quick, affordable curry.
