MEATmarket is a funky almost grungy burger joint which can be found upstairs in Covent Garden’s Jubilee Market Hall. Its interior is long and narrow and looks like it was designed by someone on…something. Place your CASH ONLY order at the counter in the front and find yourself a table and highchair to sit.
Their burgers are juicy, greasy, messy and undeniably awesome, no matter which one you order. You pay extra for fries which are ok but truly unnecessary because their burgers are quite filling on their own. But I guess you gotta order fries with a burger, it’s like popcorn at the cinema. Try their Buffalo Wings; damn they’re good, and hot. For us desert folk from Dubai having a beer (or booze of any kind) with your burger is such a novelty. Apologies therefore for the blurry pictures, the effect of overexuberance in that area.
Service is…um, non-existent. You basically place your order, pay and get on with it. Maybe that’s why they serve the booze. So there you have it, the deliciously grungy MEATmarket in Covent Garden – well worth a visit.
