Asia Tang is an Asian restaurant very much in the mould of Jumeirah’s Noodle House. Located in the newly opened Springs Souk in Emirates Hills, its interior uses touches from the past like ceiling fans and wooden shutters to dial in a little retro and nostalgia to its otherwise modern interior. It works. One feels instantly comfortable and at home at Asia Tang. The warm welcome at the door helps too.
The Asia Tang menu is a hodgepodge of Asian favourites, from Laksa to Sushi. There are also some interesting adaptations to everyday classics…like pizza. My son and I tried a number of dishes and, except for the soups, found everything else surprisingly good. About those soups, in addition to portions being too small (and prices too high) the Laksa was far too bland and the Pho far too sweet. The Bibimbap my son ordered as a main was very good though. So were the stir-fried Asian greens I ordered, although this is not something one should order as a main on its own. It’s really a side.
Service is excellent, the staff attentive and very friendly. My son has already been back with his friends and is most definitely a fan. Well worth a visit.
Note, if you like your food spicy you need to mention this when ordering.
Waste NOT. Want NOT.
