The Terrace is a licensed, all-day-dining restaurant with an Italian bias at the Trump International Golf Club in Mudon. Its interior is best described as golfer’s smart-casual although there are nothings casual about prices on the menu, which are most definitely fine dining. Being a Trump establishment it’s hard to enter without bearing some sort of preconception, be it respect, awe, scorn or loathing, or in my case – all of the above.
Being an all-day-dining restaurant, The Terrace’s menu covers everything from breakfast to dinner. The good news for early birds (like me) is that it’s open for breakfast from 06:00 every day. Although I have only had dinner there, I can imagine sitting at one of the tables beside the expansive ceiling to floor windows early in the morning looking out onto the golf course – yummy. There’s a good mix of casual and fine dining in the menu from burgers and pizza on one extreme to seafood and steaks on the other – a little something for everyone. The diet I am currently on left me with the choice of a salad and a beer or a burger and water. I consequently discovered that The Terrace serves a fantastic Caesar’s Salad.
If I were to highlight one outstanding point about The Terrace it would have to be the service. The staff there are simply fantastic, super friendly and keen to accommodate. So, if you’re in the area and fancy a meal on the very edge of town, in one of the most controversial establishments in Dubai, The Terrace could very well tick all your boxes. Oh, and when there are sports events on (like now with the football) the restaurant doubles up as a sports bar with a giant screen.
Waste NOT. Want NOT.
