Although tiny, and based in an ENOC petrol station, this is by far my favourite Puranmal. I found the place spotlessly clean, with all the counter displays fully stocked with what looked like fresh sweets and savouries. The whole concept of petrol station snacks and sweets is fantastic. And that chaat counter has this tractor-beam effect which just pulls you in…
My dad and I didn’t waste time in tucking in to (a portion each of) Pani Puri, followed by Dosa (plain AND masala), and finally Gulab Jamun and Rasmalai. Everything was far better than what you would expect to find at a petrol station. I particularly liked the spiced water (Pudina ka Pani) for the Pani Puri – it was good enough to drink a whole glass full of – yummy. The Dosa too was better than any I can think of in the area.
Service was friendly and amazingly accommodating. This Puranmal is closest to my home, and now firmly on my favourites list for a quick splash and dash of Indian breakfast, snacks and savouries. It’s well worth a visit.
Waste NOT. Want NOT.
