Khaana Badosh is a newly opened Pakistani restaurant in al-Barsha South. Step in and you can immediately tell that the owner has spent a lot of energy and enthusiasm in designing the place – it’s certainly colourful, and spotlessly clean, contrasting with its still under construction environment.
Their breakfast menu includes most Pakistani favourites, including mine – Paya, but also Aloo Keema, Channa, Channa Dal, and Halwa Puri to name but a few. I chose to try their Paya and Channa. Listen, the Paya at Khaana Badosh is without a doubt the best Paya I have had in Dubai. It’s simply superb, a must try. Their Channa, itself very good, simply pales in comparison. If either of these dishes are anything to go by, I am sure the rest of their menu is equally good.
Service is a one-man affair. Yet he handles everything, from welcoming guests to serving them, with a genuine smile and equally genuine hospitality. If these boys can keep up this level of quality and service, I can see their popularity rapidly expand beyond the RTA members who currently make up the majority of their morning traffic. This restaurant is well worth a visit.
Waste NOT. Want NOT.
