I never thought I’d see the day when I’d be the only customer at a SALT outlet. Well, I was today. But that’s only because the SALT outlet in question was their newest, at the still not fully operational Dubai Creek Harbour. SALT uses the same, immediately recognizable silver food truck as a base, around which there are a number of tables and cushioned benches to dine on. Of course, each has its own parasol. That’s all Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah now, with the weather the way it is; it’ll be interesting to see what provisions they’ve made for burst-into-flames season.
I don’t remember SALT burgers being this good. Bloody hell, the burger I had at this place was simply amazing. It was the closest thing I’ve had to my SECOND favourite burger in Dubai, a ShackBurger.
And then I heard something really interesting from these cute little kittens who I shared some of my food with (and no, they weren’t there looking for their mittens); they told me that SALT had convinced someone (in the know) at Shake Shack to join them…and that was why their burgers were so similar.
Well good on you, SALT. And before the legal teams from Shake Shack and/or SALT reach out, I swear I don’t know where those little kittens went…
SALT, I apologise for my earlier reviews. Your burgers are amazing.
Waste NOT. Want NOT.
