Tribes Dubai Mall is the second branch of Tribes, the first being in MOE, where we are regulars. The franchise is African inspired, and as such features meat extensively on its menu. I feel the interior of the new branch tries but fails to live up to the first. But it’s still a very enjoyable place to have a meal.
The food at Tribes is really good. I strongly recommend sticking to the grilled meat first, chicken and fish second, rather than wasting your time – as I did – on their curries, particularly the Bunny Chow. Africans make some amazing curries, Tribes missed that boat. Their steaks are brilliant though. So are their dinosaur sized beef ribs. Even their North African (char-grilled) Chicken Burger was off the charts.
And with service which is friendly, fast and accommodating, you have a restaurant to consider when your meat cravings are up.
