You’ve heard of Indian Chinese food. Well, this is Indian Italian-Mexican. And like Indian Chinese, it bears very little resemblance to the cuisine upon which it is based. That’s not to say it’s not good. In fact, it’s very good. It’s just different. And 100% vegetarian.
Quattro itself is sister to the amazing Spice Klub next door. Their kinship is reflected in its similarly light, airy, modernist décor, as well as in the attentive, friendly yet professional service.
There’s a subtle touch of molecular hocus pocus to the food, and presentation is textbook fusion. Except for the pasta, which is served just the way I like it – traditionally simple and al dente.
I never thought I would like a 100% meatless Italian or Mexican meal. Meatless and boozeless, to be more accurate. But you know what, I liked it. Enough to go back? I would accept an invitation there, sure. But would I drive all the way there to have a meal with my family? Probably not. But I would certainly put it on my list of options to take vegetarian guests to, that’s for sure.
