The Stuffed Burger Company was recommended to me by fellow Zomato reviewer Shabina Afzal, and I used her recommendation to convince my constantly ‘debating’ family that this was the place to have lunch. That, and the fact that it was my son’s last day in Dubai and he fancied a burger and quickly sided with me. Otherwise the girls bully us into going where they want. My wife has never had it so good, and is not at all shy to use her once secret, now first line WMD…our teenage daughter.
SBC is one of the newer burger joints to open on beach road. It’s very much in the same mold as Moylo’s and Falla, though not yet as good.
We walked in and liked it instantly; the warm welcome we received making us feel immediately comfortable and at home. And this was not just from the staff, big man chef called my son up to the counter to welcome him and to see what he felt like eating. Note, we were not invited here. No one knew that all four of us were reviewers, one fanatically so. SBC had won us over before we took a bite of their burgers. Kudos to them.
My son, daughter and I had burgers but before that we ordered onion rings and fries smothered with cheese.
My dearest of dears, on yet another diet, went next door to Doner Taxi and ordered…yup, you guessed it, a salad. She then spent the rest of our meal complaining that she felt everyone was looking at her. Pumpkin (I call her that sometimes), you’ve brought food, a salad at that, from another restaurant into a burger joint and you’re wondering why people are looking at you?
The fries were a disappointment. Well, not actually the fries, the cheese on the fries made the whole concoction look and feel like something you would get at the movies. The fries themselves were actually pretty good. So were the chunky, crunchy onion rings. All three of us liked our burgers, seared with love by the larger than life chef.
So, if you’re in the beach road area and fancy a nice big, chunky, juicy burger, seared to perfection by a passionate chef try the Stuffed Burger Company, it won’t disappoint.
